The beat of time is a project that Alexander Plotnikov devoted to the past and the present. Where is shown the connection of imperial pre-revolutionary architecture and sensual dancers of our time. For the shooting, 10 historically significant places were selected not only for St. Petersburg, but also for Russia as a whole. In the atmosphere of the age-old cultural heritage, 11 talented dancers performed their improvisations in the actual contemporary styles of Vogue, Kramp, strip-plastics, kontemporari. The aim of the project was the desire to create a century-long dissonance, proving that time isn’t a barrier to harmony.
“The Beat of time” – проект, который Александр Плотников посвятил прошлому и настоящему. Где показана связь имперской дореволюционной архитектуры и чувственных танцоров современности. Для съёмок было выбрано 10 исторически значимых мест не только для Санкт-Петербурга, но и для России в целом. В атмосфере векового культурного наследия 11 талантливых танцоров исполнили свои импровизации в актуальных сегодня стилях вог, крамп, стрип-пластика, контемпорари.
Целью проекта послужило желание создать меж вековой диссонанс, доказывающий, что время не является преградой для гармонии.
The exhibition is presented in Switzerland, at the Red Theater on the Julier Pass at an altitude of 2300 meters above sea level at the Origen Festival Cultural until August 18, 2018.
